BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 30TH AUGUST 2021
Just a reminder that due to Monday the 30th of August being a Bank Holiday we will not be able to post any orders on this day as Royal Mail do not collect or deliver on Bank Holidays. All orders received by 1pm on Friday the 27th of August will be sent out that day but orders received after this time will be sent out on Tuesday the 31st of August. Instead of posting on our usual Wednesday, we will be posting again on Friday 3rd of September. Although the office will be closed for telephone enquiries on Bank Holiday Monday, I will be checking emails when I can over the Bank Holiday Weekend but please just give me a little extra time to get back to you.OVERSEAS SHIPPING REINSTATED 18TH JANUARY 2020
We have today started accepting orders again from outside the UK. In the run up to Christmas Royal Mail suspended deliveries to many countries outside the UK due to the Covid 19 crisis causing massive problems within the system both here in the UK and overseas. We now feel that things are getting back on track and expect that orders will be processed much quicker than at the end of last year. Sadly Australia and Canada are two countries we wish we could post to, but due to them still experiencing massive delays we feel it is not the time to include these at this moment in time. N.B. Currently we are still only able to offer the Tracked & Signed Royal Airmail for overseas post. We realise this is more expensive than non tracked, but we do feel it is important that we can track the order to see where it is in the postal system and that our customers can see for themselves that their order is on its way.
We are continuing to post on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and please can we just remind you that if you do place an order on those days, we do need it by 12 noon to be dispatched that day.
CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR POSTING & OPENING TIMES 2020
It has been a very strange year for us all and we hope that you are coping with this terrible situation. We would also like to thank all our customers, both our regular ones and new ones for their custom throughout this year - it is genuinely very much appreciated.
We will be changing our posting days a little over Christmas and New Year. In the run up to Christmas we will be posting on Monday the 21st of December and Tuesday the 22nd of December. We will then not be posting again until Tuesday the 29th of December as Monday the 28th of December is a Bank Holiday and Royal Mail does not operate on Bank Holidays. Please bear in mind that orders placed on the same day as we post do need to be received by 12noon at the latest to go in that days post. Orders placed after 12noon will go out on our next available posting day.
Posting will return to our normal three days a week on Monday the 4th of January.
Of course you can still place orders over the entire Christmas and New Year period and they will be processed ready for dispatch on the above mentioned dates. I will also reply to email enquiries throughout Christmas and New Year but please just give me a little bit of extra time to get back to you.
CORONAVIRUS Important! Everyone Please Read:-
First and foremost we hope that you are all well and are keeping yourselves and your loved ones as safe as you possibly can.
With regard to shopping with us here at MissDiscreet.com, we have taken the decision to now only post orders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
We feel we have to follow the current Government guidelines by reducing our working hours and without putting ourselves or anyone else in danger but at the same time getting orders out as efficiently as is possible. We have also suspended the Special Next Day Delivery for orders in the UK until things settle down as Royal Mail are no longer able to guarantee this service. Please note that I am still available Monday to Friday to take phone orders or enquiries as normal. The only thing that has changed is we are posting on three days instead of our usual five which will take effect from Monday the 16th of March. I am also still answering emails out of office hours - evenings and weekends too just as I normally do.
Please note! Orders need to have been placed by 12.00pm on our posting days to go out that same day, orders placed after this time will be dispatched on our next posting day.
With regard to orders sent overseas, again there are significant delays in a lot of the countries we post to. We were hoping to be able to offer the choice of cheaper, standard non tracked posting again, but in view of the delays, we feel we can only continue to send overseas using the tracked and signed for service - this is purely so our customers can check for themselves that their item has left the UK and is on its way. We have had to remove Australia and New Zealand from the list of destinations we post to as we are finding that orders sent there are taking much longer to arrive. We can see from the tracking information, orders are leaving the UK very quickly but once arriving in Australia they are being held back due to various problems which you can read about via both Royal Mail and Australia post websites. We will post to Australia if you get in touch prior to placing an order so that we can discuss this in detail. We also do this for customers who ask for orders to be sent to Canada and New Zealand who are also experiencing extensive postal problems.
