March 2023
We have been informed by Royal Airmail that following the disruption caused by the recent cyber attack they are now allowing parcels to leave the UK and so we have now resumed posting orders to USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
January 2023
Due to a cyber attack on the Royal Airmail postal network we are unable to send any orders outside of the UK. They are working around the clock to get things moving again but Royal Airmail will not accept any parcels that require a customs declaration. As all the orders we send do indeed require this we are unable to send any orders at all outside the UK. We use Royal Airmail as it is the most cost effective way for us to send orders overseas. We are monitoring the situation daily and I will update once everything is back to normal. In the meantime all we can do is apologise for this inconvenience.
Please note that this does not affect orders being sent within the UK. Orders are being despatched as normal. If you have any doubts or would like further information, please just get in touch.
Posting to Europe following BrexitAs of today, Monday 3rd of October 2022 and along with many other companies, we have had to take the decision to stop sending orders to Europe. Since the UK left the European Union very high charges are being applied by the destination country before an order is released to the customer. These charges are completely out of our hands and it is impossible for us to even give an estimate of how much these would be. In most cases and from hearing from our customers, these charges are more than the cost of the actual item/s purchased. Even though I have contacted customers to make them aware of this before I post their order and they confirm they are happy to pay the costs whatever these are, I have had some customers refuse to pay which as you can imagine causes huge problems. There is a lot of information regarding this on line showing examples of how people have been caught out by these extra costs following the UK leaving the European Union.
We will continue to post orders to USA, Canada and Australia and New Zealand as nothing has changed but we do now only send using a tracked service so that both our customers and ourselves can check the status of the delivery on line.
